Doll-/mini-person class over the weekend

So this weekend I have been attending a two day course in creating a mini doll personality in polymer clay. It was a lot of fiddling along with a lot of fun and laughs during the days. The class was taught be Agneta at Skalaminimal and we were all able to try out either new methods or new at the whole polyclay/character dolls creating scenes.

We shared a lot of laughs as well as a lot of “ohhhhs” and “ahhhs” and as the mohair/viscose were added along with eye colours and facial features the personalities began to emerge more and more.

Finding new friends was an added bonus!

It still needs a good dusting, but it is sooo close to done on the interior, just some minor fixings here and there and it will be “done”. Then it is the exterior to deal with, that will be fun, have most of it planned though…

Dressing a mini mannequin…

Since ere will be very little room to store clothes I figured I better “dress” the distressed mannequin instead so set up with the lace at hand…

Trying out different combinations as well as incorporating different fabrics, but settled for,using these laces instead.

Added a few stitches in the back as well as giving tje impression of sleeves.

So, what do you think? Yay or nay???

Bouquet of flowers

Had a few envelopes with bits and pieces arriving during the week, and today the glass vase…
Think this will be for the bedroowith some tweaking, a little fuller perhaps with a few more roses….

Rose trellis

I have wanted to create a climbing rose for a while but have had nowhere in part to place it until the lighthouse and exterior scheme started to take shape, so finally here it is;

Staging the rooms in the lighthouse….

Both the bed room and kitchen are coming together, still needs to install the lights, fix trim work and things like that as well as decide which chair to use in the kitchen as we are undecisive about the style needed….

Have an eye out for an Ashley/Lee’s line chair, much more precise in shape but… A few flowers and fiddly bits to add here and there as well as vanity items to make/add.

Lighthouse bathroom layout

So this is how the layout of the bathroom will be, still needs to add towel holders, a plant or two as well as paint and the trims, but the thing that is stalling me is how the curtains should be…

Lighthouse closer to be finished

Slow and yet atleast some progress to the lighthouse project. Still need to add those little things that makes it look lived in….

Still need to shape the sheet and am debating whether to add more pillows but….
