Since ere will be very little room to store clothes I figured I better “dress” the distressed mannequin instead so set up with the lace at hand…
Trying out different combinations as well as incorporating different fabrics, but settled for,using these laces instead.
Added a few stitches in the back as well as giving tje impression of sleeves.
So, what do you think? Yay or nay???
Had a few envelopes with bits and pieces arriving during the week, and today the glass vase…
Think this will be for the bedroowith some tweaking, a little fuller perhaps with a few more roses….
I have wanted to create a climbing rose for a while but have had nowhere in part to place it until the lighthouse and exterior scheme started to take shape, so finally here it is;
Both the bed room and kitchen are coming together, still needs to install the lights, fix trim work and things like that as well as decide which chair to use in the kitchen as we are undecisive about the style needed….
Have an eye out for an Ashley/Lee’s line chair, much more precise in shape but… A few flowers and fiddly bits to add here and there as well as vanity items to make/add.
So this is how the layout of the bathroom will be, still needs to add towel holders, a plant or two as well as paint and the trims, but the thing that is stalling me is how the curtains should be…
Slow and yet atleast some progress to the lighthouse project. Still need to add those little things that makes it look lived in….
Still need to shape the sheet and am debating whether to add more pillows but….
So, these are the fabrics I am going to use to dress the bed for the lighthouse. I also tufted the matress, adding a tiny dot of glue to the knot on the back just to keep it in place. Now to see how these fabrics will work together…
The lighthouse is converted into a mini-living dwelling instead of its usual purpose. So it needs a dressed bed as well as curtains for the bedroom area.
First I Tore away the bulky bedding box that came with the bed. Then it got a couple of coats of paint.
Then I added a few slats where the new lower bed would go. Will also tuft the mattress, not that it will show, but I’ll know it will be there…
